Hi,
Great site here, been doing a lot of reading. I do have a few questions I haven't found answers for though. How do you check the fluid level in the differential case and front axle gear case in this tractor. There is a fill and a drain bolt for the differential, but that is all that I see. There is also a fill and a drain bolt for each front axle hub, but don't see how I would come back and check that level either.
Lastly, The manual says 2.6 quarts for the differential, and .5 quarts for the front axle gear case. I assume that is .5 quarts for each hub? I hope so, I put a half quart in each.
Thanks in response for your answers.

One Newbie to another.
My service manual covers both the B1550 and B1750 and lists the front differential of the B1750 as "1.6 us qts" and "2.6 us qts with Bi-speed turn". For the front axle gear case it states ".5 us qts". It is not very clear regarding if the gear case qty is for one or both however the heading for the row in the table does say "Front axle gear case (Right or left) (4WD)" I think we are both safe in assuming that they mean Right and Left. There are a few places in the book that leave some question as to the real meaning.
As for checking the level there doesn't appear to be any real method other than putting in the required amount. Unless you have a leak in the area that makes you suspect the fluid is low you are probably okay changing it at the recommended interval of 300hrs.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for your reply. I guess I will just not worry about the fluid level for 300 hours. That will take 2-3 years though. Anyway, thanks for your reply, I at least feel better about the amount of oil I put in.

Just traded my old B1750 in last week on a B3030HSDC,so I decided it was about time to join the forum.
Squirrel27-when changing the front gear lubes on my B1750,I always did as you did also. Drain out the old and refill with new, adding the prescribed amount. I had the bi-speed turn and it was like 2.6qts in the differential and .5 qts(or was it liters)in each wheel end gear case. There is no means to check it curiously enough. I agree you're right on track. Good Luck.
