Has anyone bought one of these lately? I installed one on a previous truck and I know I paid around $300 shipped. Now all I can find is $400 shipped. Has the price gone up that much?

Everything steel or petroleum based has gone up. Had a friend price tires last day of March for his 1 ton diesel. Went back last week and they were $23 more each.

It just seems like an awful lot of increase. They are different part numbers but the price is up on all across the board. The b&w was a pretty decent hitch though the paint could have been better.

I agree about the paint sucking. Last 2 I installed in 08/09 are both really rusting in the wheel wells.

I bought mine about a year ago at T&R Trailers for $399 shipping included. That's as cheap as you'll get it new. There were 1 or 2 others online that had the same deal, but I knew someone who had a good experience with this place and so that made the decision easier.

I also agree, the paint sucks. Wanted to repaint it before ever installing it, but if you hard to return it for whatever reason, they probably wouldn't take it.

Wow... maybe due to the road de-icing stuff ya'll use up there? Mine still looks brand new and the sticker isnt even faded... of course, we dont get a lot of snow here either!!!

I'm sure the salt has lots to do with it. I know everytime I visit my relatives in FL the boby and frames of there cars look new compared to a one year old car here. The way the paint seemed to peel off my last b&w makes me think the surface prep of the steel is not good enough. I'm still on the fence though, since I found a BP trailer that's close in price to the Cam I posted about in another thread. The added cost of the hitch makes it a tough choice.

Personally I would go bp and still have my bed.

Chris, the bed footprint is really small and the ride is alot better. I usually put all the tools in the tool box on the trailer. I've been kicking around getting another crossover box but need to save for a Weatherguard. So it's not a huge issue for me. It's funny but I feel like the hitch was worth the $300 but think $400 is overpriced for what it is. In the end I guess I need to make a best guess as to the best choice.
