Toolcat B 2004
I have a B toolcat and I see on some forums people are suggesting a Blizzard 8611 for it. The 8611 weighs 1470 lbs.
I wanted to get the Horst SnowWing 3000 which weighs 1300 lbs.

My dealer says no chance and the biggest blade bobcat has for it comes in 96 inches and a measly 660 lbs. Now I know for sure it can handle the biggest bobcat blade at 926 lbs but the dealer won't even agree on that.
Anyone have any real experience?

Thanks Mike

Why do you want such a heavy snow blade? Wouldn't want to carry all that weight. Truck snow blades are not real heavy either. Dozer blades can weigh up to that amount but for much different purpose. Most of Bobcat's dozer blades weigh around 850 lbs and the heaviest dozer blade weighs 1580 lbs. Bobcats heaviest snow V blade, the 108", weighs 868 lbs. An 84" V blade weighs 779 lbs. The TC isn't going to handle a 108" blade very well IMHO.

Also, most skid steer blades and rigidly mounted and not suspended by a chain like on trucks. Tip/force the blade down on a skid steer and you will have more down force than you should need. I use a modified truck blade with SS mounting plate and the weight of the 84" Meyer blade seems to be enough for my personal use. I like the chain mounted because it floats over uneven surfaces.

I want width in a blade that can expand and decrease like the 8611 blizzard. If I could find something Lighter I would be all for it.

Expandable. ;)That explains the weight. Sorry, don't have any experience with that type of snow blade.

if you dont have turbo, I wouldnt think about it!

if you do...why not look at an 810? do you really need the 8611? plus you can put danger wings on the 810....

It is a turbo. I need to expand the wings in and out for small driveways and to be street legal.

The reason I want expandable wings is for the cleanup of the streets after I drag all the drives. I get all of this snow out on the street and then it is very time consuming trying to clean it up with a bucket.

I thought about getting the 8 foot boss and building hydraulic wings for it.
