My employer just bought a B2410 with loader and backhoe. It is used with 100 hrs on it, but he didn't get the owners manual from the previous owner yet (long story).
I heard the wheels creaking when driving it and knew what the sound was and how to fix it (Thanks TBN). The problem is I don't know how much to torque the pinch bolts on the axle. Will a B series owner take a look at the manual and let me know.
Thanks
Leroy

Not sure what you mean by pinch bolts but here are the torque specs from the WSM for both front and rear in ft-lbs.

rear axle case mounting screw 28.9 to 32.5

Front - for 4WD without bi-speed turning
front wheel mounting nut 57.1 to 66.5
front axle bracket mounting screw 147.5 to 169.6
bevel gear case mounting screw 57.1 to 66.5
knuckle arm mounting screw 76 to 86.8
axle flange mounting screw 35.5 to 41.2
diff case cover mounting screw 21.7 to 25.3

Front - with the Bi-speed turn option
shift lever fulcrum mounting screws 13 to 15.2
bi-speed turn case mounting screws 17.4 to 20.2
bi-speed turn gear case mounting screws 17.4 to 20.2
bearing holder mounting screws 35.5 to 41.2

Tightening that pinch bolt is only part of the solution.

Take the assembly off the rear axle and clean the dirt off the faces of the axle and Part#120 as seen in the attachment. Note, there are two Part#120. I call them pinch nuts but the parts book calls them 'cotter'. Either way, if you need new ones, there are two for each axle and the part # is 6C040-17460.

Also, if Part#120 is chewed up, you can rearrange each piece so as to use its other pinch face. This part is soft and will deform if the bolt gets loose.

The assemblies have been solid and quiet ever since I cleaned and turned Part#120 around.

Thanks to all, we were on the job site and I tightened both pinch bolts to 108 ft lbs. No more creak. I knew I could count on TBN.
I found that if you rotate the wheels till the nuts are pointed down, you can use a deep well socket to tighten them without removing the rear wheels.
The left side (from the operators seat) you go in front of the rear tire so you are pulling toward you.
The right side go behind the rear tire and pull to you.
Makes it very easy.
Thanks Again

Leroy,
What does it sound like? I have a 7800, no creaking yet but will listen for it, thanks, bw

Wow, how to describe the sound! All I can tell you is that it is unmistakable. Rusty hinges on a door is about the best I can come up with. If you have a torque wrench it can't hurt to check them. When the ones on "our" tractor started to creak, the bolts were a little over finger tight. I tried to tighten them with a standard 1/2 drive craftsman ratchet, and I did turn them a couple of turns, but couldn't get them tight enough.

You should not have to worry about the creaking sound that Leroy is talking about. B7800 have flange mounts for the wheels. The flange on his B2410 is clamped to the axle shaft. These are the bolts that came loose.
You should still check that wheel bolts are tight every few hours.
