Aviation Buffs...Barn find; Bugatti 100P Replica

Apparently Bugatti designed at least one aircraft in addition to automobiles. It's a beautiful aircraft, hidden from the Nazis and discovered after the war. The original one-of-a-kind never flew, and a replica, built in Tulsa, is about ready. Interesting story.

That is a beautiful looking airplane. I think it rivals anything in design today. Looks a little like the old V tail Bonanza at the tail. I wonder if there was some info sharing on that or just everyone experimenting with loosing the drag of a vertical stabilizer. I almost bought one of the V tail Bonanza's once.

That is a beautiful futuristic aircraft. Looks to be about 40 years ahead of its time.

I agree, one of the most beautiful airplanes ever made.
I've seen the original one at EAA museum in Oshkosh WI. Anyone who likes airplanes should see that place.

Dennis- The tail looks a lot like the Beechcraft Bonanza, which I always thought was funny looking. But this is a great looking bird.

I certainly would like to see video of the start up and the first flight. If looks have anything to do with it, it should fly like a bird. I don't see them trying to break a speed record though; putting it through the stress of a 500 mph + speed run just doesn't seem feasible. I know the Germans built a prototype plane that would do 500 mph plus during the last part of the war; I believe it was built by Dornier and had a prop in front and one in back.

Also, looks like the tail is similar to the Stealth...in A 1930's design!!

I just saw it a coulple of years ago so they must have added it to their collection recently.
