Hello. Been awhile since I've posted. I traded my 4320 open station on a 5083 Limited cab tractor with alot of field installed (by me) options. I have the left and right side-view mirrors installed. JD has front and rear auxiliary work lights available that will bring the total number of work lights to 8. I can see the advantage of more lighting especially when finishing baling at night in the summer. I requested the installation manual from the dealer, and have noticed that the extra lights are mounted underneath the yellow warning lights on the roof. However, it does not look like there is enough room for the front lights due to the side-view mirrors. JD parts does not say that installation of the mirrors prevents installation of the front work lights. Getting rid of the mirrors is not an option as I use them contantly to monitor my MoCo without turning around all the time. I am curious if anyone has both the mirrors and lights installed in tandem? Pics of of either the stock set-up or your modified set-up would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

5105M with the setup you want, shouldn't be a problem with the mirrors.

Wow Ok thanks for the pic! I thought the extra lights were for lighting up the sides of the tractor. It looks like you can swivel the front lights to catch more of the side and use the rears to light up the rest. Do you have problems with running the battery down or do you have the bigger alternator?

You can aim them as you wish, up down and sideways. During winter I do commercial snow removing and disconnect the headlights to avoid glare bouncing off large front implements during road travel, 4 front work lights are plenty enough to see the road ahead, sometimes I use only 2. As required by state law cab flashers are always on as well as a LED beacon. This does not seem to tax the battery which is a standard Strongbox. However when it's very cold (like now) and the tractor is not in use for more than 24 hours I keep the block heater plugged in and trickle-charge the battery to avoid overstressing it at startup.
