I just finished installing auxiliary lights on my B7610. After much shopping, ordering and returning, I decided on the 5” KC Hilites 50 series with 100W bulbs because 1. They are reasonably tough (made in USA!), 2. All the parts are individually available from the factory, including driving, fog, and flood lenses that can be used interchangeably in the same housing, and 3. They were reasonably priced at $140.00 for the pair from the factory. That included a switch (which I didn’t use), a relay and wiring harness.

The project started by having a couple pieces of angle iron cut and a ½ hole drilled in them to receive the lights. I clamped them onto the ROPS, fastened and energized the lights, then aimed them so that they were shining where I thought I would want them while they were in the center of their adjustment range. That left as much room for error as possible. I marked the spot, and took the ROPS and brackets to the welder. Photo attached.

After the brackets were welded in place, I primed them and drilled 5/16” holes for the grommets.

Next I painted the messed up area on the ROPS with spray paint from Kubota.

Next, I fished the wires down through the ROPS, mounted the lights and reinstalled the ROPS on the tractor.

Close up rear photo. Note the ground wire is fastened to the bracket. This left only the hot wires to mess with.

With respect to the switch, I ordered the weatherproof toggle and boot from www.waytekwire.com. It’s good, beefy stuff.

I drilled a hole in the dash, left of the steering wheel and mounted the switch. The relay was installed behind the dash. I ran the wire to the back of the tractor right alongside the run that the factory used down the left side.

The lights work quite well. We should be getting another blizzard sometime next week, which will give me a chance to try them out for real.

The end.
