How do I set the bottom and top limit on the automatic lift control. I currently set the lower limit with the manual 3pt level. When I use the automatic lift control to raise the three point hitch it only raises about one foot instead of the full height. Am I doing something wrong?

The operators manual is not very helpful, but checking the parts catalog, looks like it's all mechanical linkages with just limit switch, that I assume if to turn On/Off the PTO depending on the height of the 3 pt.

From the reading the manual, I get the impression that the lower limit is set by the position control lever and the upper limit doesn't actually have an easy way to adjust. I assume somewhere in this linkage for the Auto lift, you can adjust the max height.

It's one of those things that needs one to be inspecting that linkage up close and see how it works.

Thanks for the reply. I believe I have followed the manual's instructions. It won't raise all the way up for some reason. Even though I have followed the instructions, I am still inclined to still believe it is operator error. (Me)

Doesn't sound like operator error. Will it raise correctly if you pull back the position lever that you use to set the lower limit? If it raises correctly with the position lever but doesn't with the green auto lift lever, then there is something else wrong. Does moving the draft control lever make any difference? It should be set to minimum sensitivity. Also check the top link draft control linkage on the back and make sure it's not stuck.

Yeah, it works fine without the automatic control lever. I am not certain about the draft control level, but I feel that I probably tried that. I tried many different things and couldn't get any combination to work.

By the way, it only stopped working about two weeks ago.

Well if it just stopped working recently, then there is probably something wrong with the cable for the auto lift lever. Check if the cable mounting nuts are tight where it is attached on the right side of the hitch cover and inside the control console. The cable itself could be bad also.

Thanks, I need to figure out the mechanics of this feature. I have a cab and nothing is visible. I will find those cables and see if everything looks okay from where they start and where they end.
