ATV parts prices

Why is there such a big $$$ price difference between car parts and atvs? The man told me 250. For a caliber I was thinking 60 bucks my atv is a 06 but come on man that's highway robbery!!!.

Lot more car parts made, so there is more competition which pushes the price down.

So much discussion on here about one UTV or ATV vs another. No one ever talks about what parts cost down the road. A fuel filter for my Mule is something like seventy bucks! And no NAPA cross! That's part of it. No after market parts as a rule.

That's why Evilbay was born, you can get it cheaper. I've heard good things about Rocky Mtn ATV, & looked at a few prices on UTV part's, might check them out.

Try phoning different dealers. I needed a brake lever for a 30 year old Suzuki. I didn't phone around but the local Arctic Cat dealer was able to supply one for $17 CAD which I thought was very reasonable. They looked for parts at their aftermarket suppler.

Now there another problem the guy can't find the caliber for my year 06 Polaris so now I have to take out the bent piston that leaks well at lest the rebuilt kit just cost 50 not 250. Then I have to check out the front right because that dripped also.

I call that capitalism, your best bet is to shop around, another dealer might sell it cheaper or look online, maybe something will come up.
