Attic stairs, now a 1 man job

And a quick one!! Had to share this pic. Barely cleared the 7' door. They are the simple hinged hide in the attic drop down stairs.

I installed mine in my 13' high garage using a rope and pulley, by myself with no tractor. I did install it before the insulation and sheet rock though.

I went to visit my ma and pa and found my 70 y/o ma on a rickety ole wood ladder trying to get stuff out of her garage attack, I said we need to get you some pull down stairs so I installed two of them last year, One for moms garage and one for dads shop. I feel a whole lot better knowing they won't be falling off ladders.

Nice and easy way of holding that up, Clever.

Another good way to do it for sure. I didn't think of that. I hate drilling and mounted hangers for my block/tackle though.

Great way to do it! I put mine in upstairs using a come-along and a 2x4 nailed to the rafters. Just unfold the stairs on the floor and slowly raise the frame into the hole as it all extends down. Just make sure you take everything up with you to secure it it in place.
