Yes. I saw a 3 pt trencher listed. The seller disclosed the reserve price to me. The bids never went that high. It's sitting out back now. Works great!

Unless its local enough for you to pick up....delivery $$ could be quite costly. The private deals don't get the discounts large shippers get.

Yeah, ebay can be a great source - there is a humungous stump grinder on there right now and earlier this year there was a very nice 7' snowblower I snatched up - got a very good deal. Buying used can be tricky - but it gets easier with experience (like everything).

The people at TBN are always helpful if you have a question about something listed on ebay - advice from someone who knows a particular piece of equipment helps a lot.

Never found anything on Ebay close enough or rare enough that it was worth the shipping. There is enough used gear around that paying an extra 100-200 to ship something just isnt worth it. A $100 will get me pretty far if I have to go pick something up

Cut and paste the following in the ebay search field and you will get a fair number of hits, including tractors (usually 8-10 pages.)
(((pto, tractor, kubota, deere, holland, implement, point, pt, attachment) ) ) -toy -part -manual -antique -system

I should point out that the ebay stuff I've bought was local (within 100 mi)

I have purchased many things on eBay. Most are small computer related. My most recient was a John Deere 420 with a Johnson Loader. It was 300 miles away, two tanks of gas and a borrowed trailer put it in my driveway the next day. I had the top bid, it did not meet the reserve. I contacted the seller after the auction, he accepted my top bid. On eBay, the final bid will only be the bid increment and your real bid will not be know by others including the seller.

I would not sell it for twice what I paid for it. It is a great tractor/loader/PTO/weight box w/540 pounds

Thanks for the "shortcut" but ... I got 570 pages of items (28,000+ individual items) with this cut and paste on e-bay.
Did I do something wrong?
I would be really happy to have a shortcut that gave me 5 or 6 pages of good tractor attachment possibilities. Is ther a comma or braket or ??? that might be missing?

Thanks
Bob

Got a Howse brand brush hog last fall for $40.00 that was on ebay. Seller lived about 10 miles from the house! Got to see it before buying it, which was a big plus! Needs a little welding and some paint, but is working good so far!

It ain't much of a shortcut if you got 570 pages /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

(((pto, tractor, kubota, deere, holland, implement, point, pt, attachment) ) ) -toy -part -manual -antique -system

I wanted to eliminate parts and little stuff: I neglected to say that I also added "greater than $100" to my search criteria. I think I also limit it to the commercial/industrial category /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

So.....do this: use the "deluxe" search (or whatever it's called) and put the parenthetical stuff in the "words to search for", put the stuff with the minuses in "words to exclude", and make your dollar threshold greater than $100. I HOPE that will give you more reasonable searches.

Yep, The tractor itself, A Kioti FM, and a Boom Pole/Trailer Mover.

I was able to pick the FM and tractor up myself (no shipping) and the Trailer Mover is $25 to ship from KY to MA.

My local big name dealers are Green and Orange, and there are a few local folks to buy from. In fact, I pick up my KK box blade tonight for about what it would cost to buy a lesser brand from the net.

I look at EBAY at least once every few days to see what's out there. I bid on a 60" Snowblower from KY once. It would have cost $100 to ship it, but my local guy will have one next fall for the same price...

I try to buy locally, but I won't overpay for something either.

YMMV,
