Need more information. I gather we are talking the three point hitch? What implements and what are you doing with them. Very few three points have down pressure so there is nothing to keep it from raising if a force against the implement pushes it up. It should limit how far down the implement can go though, regulated by the position of the control lever. Some three point systems have draft control that react to forces and adjust the three point height. I'm not familiar with a TO and I don't know if that tractor has that feature or not. If it does, there should be another lever to turn that on or off and adjust its sensitivity. Will the three point hold the implement in the raised position, without settling down?

Not sure if there is a draft control on the TO 30's or not. When are you noticing the implements are not remaining where selected, while in transit or not moving at all, if in transit is it over rough terrain or no.....?

If it will hold the mower up the problem isn't likely a leaking cylinder. Look for another lever or knob that might be a draft control. Did this problem just start or has it always done it?

Most likely its just like the draft control on my TO20. You have to play with it to get used to it. On the control lever, mine has a little piece of metal with a wing nut on it that acts as a stop so you can always go to the same place. Just bushhogging with it yesterday, over some rough terrain too. Once I get the highth adjusted on level ground, I'll set the little piece of metal there. When ever I go down a little gulley, then back up, the mower puts pressure on the draft control spring, causing the hydraulic to pick the mower up. WIth some practice you can push the control lever around the lever stop to make the bushhog go down, then back to the same spot as before with the stop when you get on smoother ground. I asked my mechanic after I got the little Fergie the same question. He said "with these, you got up and you got down, thats it". Here's a link that explains draft control better.

I have TO30 and that was one of my questions when I first bought the tractor. What I have learned through research and this site is that it is either all the way up or all the way down. Am I correct anyone else?
