Hello All:
We have a chance to buy a brand new 2006 NH TC26 with full factory warranty (wife's brother owns the dealership so no worries on that issue). The tractor currently has a Woods LS84 FEL installed. They recommended a Buhler Y550 5' rear mount finishing mower. We have two lots, we currently live on a little over 3 acres and own a second 2.5 acre lot several miles away that we will build on some day. We mow all of it we already own a Grasshopper 721K with 60" deck and 60" snowblower.
Any thoughts on the LS84 versus the LC96 FEL? It seems the TC26 has enough horsepower to use the more capable LC96. The FEL will be used mostly for landscaping (mulch, blocks, and stones).
The research I have done here and elsewhere on the web has convinced me Buhler is a good brand. My guess is my Grasshopper will cut more grass than this combination but I may be able to let the lot go 2 or 3 weeks at a time with the TC26/Y550 combo. Another nice thing about this combo is it should fit on our Nomanco 12' trailer.
