You do not need to remove the 3pt setup.. A couple things to look at. First make sure the height adj knob for the mower deck is at 0.0. Next open up the lowering rate valve (just to the right of the height adj knob). Then if they still won't go down on their own, push down on the rear 3pt arms because sometimes it just takes a little weight to move them.. Note: the 3pt and the mower arms are connected to the same lift mechanism, but the mower arms can be held up by the height adj knob..

Can't beat that advice, I have read of people having to stand on the three point arms to get them down; never had any trouble with our 2200 or 2660.

Good luck.

Pushing down on the 3PT hitch is what I have been doing since my old BX22. It never works if you do not do that.

tried it. the 3-point hitch with rear blade attached goes up and down fine, but the arms for the mmm don't move.when i had the mower deck off i put a small protector shield over the hydraulic cooler fan . but it didn't seem to interfere with the mower deck arms.

Did you set the mowing height adjust knob to zero? It holds the MMM linkage up. Youll probably have to raise the 3pt to be able to turn the knob easily.

Well I can think of only two things then..

1, the height adj knob is not set to a point that will allow the mower arms to drop or the shield you installed is preventing it from dropping.

2, the rear blade you have on the back is not allowing the arms to drop far enough (remember, the mower and the 3tp use the same mechanism) to lower the mower arms.

The mower lift arms aren't pinned up under the tractor still are they?
