Is there a trick to attaching and disconnecting the front end loader on a 2670?...

I seem to have nothing but trouble

I have the loader setting on fairly level ground. I line-up as near perfect as I can when I drive the tractor between the loader arms

I do notice that the hoist cylinders are not always at the same place熔ne push rod will be farther out than the other. I can sometimes manually move it to equal the other side

I almost wonder if something is bent or completely out of alignment

The tractor is new and I have had problems from day # 1

Any thoughts?...

Thanks?CB

Bump up against the one that sticks out the most, & as it goes in the other will come out.

I doubt anything is bent. With a little practice, it will become easy-peasy.

For a newbie like I was several years ago, it takes some practice to get it down. I'd re-read the owner's manual as to the procedure. The other "trick" is when the hydraulic pressure on the tractor side doesn't allow the lines to be reconnected because there is pressure in the system that won't let you seat the connectors. In that case one has to relieve the pressure my pushing the center of one of the lines for relief
Cheers,
Mike

The pressure thing I figured out--called the dealer...

I now have a piece of wooden dowel and push, sometimes tap, it in against the nipple if it won't connect. Oil does get all over the place--not too cool of a setup...

So far, the loader has not been user friendly. But, when it is attached, I do like the work I have done with it...

Thanks...BCB

You mentioned "fairly level ground"... um... perfectly level ground is better! and Hard ground like a concrete driveway is better yet. And making sure the loader is settled, bucket level on the ground, and all pressure relieved by moving joystick to all positions, multiple times before removal.. If the loader settles any at all after you remove the hoses it will be more difficult to remount the loader. Practice helps a bunch.. You should take it off and back on each day, until it seems easy to you. (easy for me to say huh?)

What like2wheel said, just move up to the one sticking out and move the lever, the pressure will move the other out to come in contact. All it takes is a bit of practice. The loaders on our BX2660, L5740 and M8540 all work the same and change out quickly once you do it a few times.

Absolutely, correct! I was taking my loader off and on with nothing but sand, gravel and stone, allowing things to shift. Now I have a dedicated concrete pad to drop and install the loader and backhoe and it makes a world of difference. I put my loader and backhoe on today after mowing yesterday in less than 10 minutes for both. Life is good with a concrete pad...

1st pic is what I have now and 2nd is what I had before... a lot easier!

Yea, I agree with the concrete pad...

I have that in a garage at my residence, but at my other property, it doesn't exist...

That is where I used the loader the most...

Maybe a good sheet of 3/4" plywood?...

Even with the plywood loading was sketchy...although I had just half inch plywood...

I agree with the others in that "fairly level" ground just won't cut it. A pad makes a world of difference.
