I just purchased a John Deere 4100 tractor. I am interested in buying a mid deck mower. I got a 410 loader and a 420 rear mower in the deal and would like to know the advantage-disadvantage of the mid deck. I am also interested in adding a post hole digger, anyone have any input. Thanks, Bill

Put pretty simply the basic fact is that it gives you more maneuverability. With a pull behind you can't get as close and you can't turn as sharp, etc. No real disadvantage to one that I can think of except the price.
