Just curious , what makes you believe the injector pump has failed ? If the engine just stopped , it could be many things even something simple .

As for your question , I have not heard of Tow Mode , the track motors have parking brakes that come on when they are deprived of oil pressure . Unless they have a manual unlocking device or a Hydraulic Power pack cannot be rigged in line to supply oil pressure , the brakes will stay on .

As for the A/C compressor failing , you cannot blame Positrack for that . They are a Sanden pump , if it failed because of faulty parts or workmanship , it is a Sanden problem .

I don't know. I looked in my service manual and couldn't find anything. And I just realized I don't have the electrical diagrams for it either . I wouldn't be overly surprised to find that they shared a relay somewhere though. My assumption is based on the troubleshooting tree, problem 2, page 13-2

From the construction forum, Quikdraw had this on his problem post "My name is Buck Storlie. I am the Product Support Manager for ASV. Please feel free to call me directly. My phone number is 218-322-4353 direct line, or 800-204-9913 and ask for Buck."

Am I the only one thinking that "WOW he made it almost 500 hours before his ASV broke down?"

I actually lost a solenoid for my drive hydraulics a while back. In order to pull the machine onto a trailer I had to take the turnbuckle track tensioner out and pull the motor down. There is a place on the u.c. frame that allows for the drive motor housing to be held in place by the front outside bolt hole and then swung out of the way of the track. Do this for both sides and then you're just pulling the machine over the loosely rolling track.

Was that the dealers answer or just the way you figured it out? Guess it would work fine as long as it's a straight pull. You didn't have any issues with the track? Throwing a track after having to pull the final would probably put me in a really bad mood.

That was in fact the dealers answer to it but from what I've seen/experienced I have no idea how else you could do it. The track stayed on due to the idlers but then again we only pulled it about 10 ft. to the trailer then up on the trailer. Once we got it to the dealership though they did pull it for about 100 ft. or so without any issues with the track.

Man I ripped a couple hyd. lines to the left drive motor off one day & I called the dealer... Their answer was I could either pay a roll back to come & get it, have a mechanic come & repair at my expense or fix the problem myself right there.. Guess what I learned how to take the drive motor off myself right there. The biggest expense was the hyd. oil from CAT... No help from the dealer at all!!!! The machine probably had 3-400 hrs at the time. After that I wrapped the lines with flexable water hose & luckly no more problems since!!!

I hear ya about that fluid. I've been having coupling issues lately inside my head but I believe I have them lined out now. Anyhow I tried explaining that to the hydraulics shop where I get my couplings. I'm not concerned about buying a 40 dollar code 61 hyd. coupling. I am concerned about losing that 14 dollar per gallon fluid. It doesn't take long to dump 10 ir 20 gallons at that high a pressure and flow rate. The hardest part of getting those motor swung out though is the bolts on the back side. Then we found hooking a small lever chain hoist inside the undercarriage and pulling it down was the easiest way to move the motor.

Thanks for the info. Something I haven't experienced yet and sounds like another issue of not looking forward to.
