You aren't supposed to blow out the cab air filters on the newer 50 series tractors... You replace them instead... As per the manual....

Good luck with that!!! I mean... WTH?

Just the opposite for my 2011 5075. "Clean with compressed air. Replace as necessary." Did not include language "Use common sense"... Might need that information for later models!

Perhaps the problem is in the translation from Chinese........ :)

No I don't Dave. I have blown filters out for years with no problems. On the combine we do it every day. I just thought this was wasteful. I will blow them out until they start to look bad.

Maybe blowing them out really isn't a problem, just use our heads to do what we feel is best and what works.. manual's are written for all sorts of people owning tractors these days.. just sayin They have to write for the lowest common denominator.

Just might be that EPA or OSHA dude has decided that without an additional requirement of a dust mask when blowing them out, that it is easiest to just say "don't blow"..
EPA and OSHA are run-away-trains with what they dream up each year.

Just re-read my reply to the OP and... Well, I think I might owe him an apology. It did not come across the way I intended. I was trying to express a bit of chagrin for the way the writers presented the info in the owner's manual.

Didn't come across that way.. Certainly after the 2nd or 3rd time reading. My apologies.

As my wife is wont to say - you know what you mean - doesn't mean anyone else does!

My guess is that's a new marketing scheme to generate more revenue. They make no money when you just clean them out with air and re-use them!!

Exactly!!! Plus it fits in so well with the new "generation". R&R otherwise known as "Remove and Replace"!!!
