I know, I've had some BBQ "Poor Man's Pig" (but not on my dinner table in my house)

But being a microbiologist, I don't like the fact they are the only creatures known that harbor Mycobacterium leprae, the causative agent for Leprosy..... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I had some friends traveling in Texas in a Corvette. People they knew there told them to NEVER hit an armadillo. Well they did. The damage to the fiberglass was unreal. As the critter bounced off the side of the car each hit looked like someone took a hatchet to the fiberglass.

I've ran over them before and they just kind of explode.

I also have them on my place and they go to where the ground is moist for food so right now a well watered yard or garden is prime diggin.

You can always tell if a hole is occupied by a armidillo or not is when you fill the hole in and the next day the hole is a hole again.
There is not another animal that can dig out before running out of O2.

Next time before you throw the dirt over the hole drop in a couple of the smoke bombs that TSC sells. Bet he won't dig out after that.
