I cranked up the tractor this afternoon. It was having some trouble firing up. It was really slow and cranking and then would run on one cylinder for about 30 seconds.
I noticed some exhaust was coming from a small hole in the bottom of the exhaust manifold while this was happening.
After four tries, I cranked it and moved the throttle back and forth between 30% and 100% about three times and it started firing on all three cylinders.
I let it idle for about three minutes at about 1500rpm. When I moved the throttle forward to get the PTO up to 540rpm, it just plain quit. Stopped cold.
I tried cranking again and it seems like there is no compression in the cylinders. There is no smoke coming from the exhaust at all.
Could this possibly be air in the fuel lines? If so, how do I get rid of it?
Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Scott
