argh - any Florida Kubota dealers open Saturday?

I need to buy some Super UDT. Otherwise, it's a whole weekend without tractoring.

Alternatively, I'm at about 46 hours now, and I'm wondering if I could replace some of the Super UDT with a different hydraulic oil, for the last few hours before the 50 hour service interval. There is a John Deere dealer about four miles from me and I know thier parts dept is open on Sat. My Kubota dealer, and all the other Kubota dealers are closed Sat. Actually, I think the local JD dealer is the only tractor dealer open on Sat in all of West Palm Beach, FL area.

Are you just low or do you want to change it before you hit the 50 hours? I wouldn't worry about the 50 hours. Use the tractor and change it next week.

If your low, no I guess I wouldn't add another type.

According to Chevron, Chevron THF is a replacement for Kubota UDF. If you can find a vendor for this you may be saved.

Both Chevron THF and Kubota UDF are synthetic lubricants. I don't know if they can be mixed.

In response to my own question, the only Kubota dealer open on Saturdays in South Florida is a place down in Homestead, about 30 miles south west of Miami. Ironically, they don't stock Super UDT. They put John Deere fluid in all thier Kubotas. I looked for the Chevron All Weather Synthetic THF but I couldn't find any.

I guess this weekend I'm doing other non tractor stuff. This morning I installed a set of rear gears in a friend's Olds 442, tonight I'm going out to dinner and maybe see a movie, and tomorrow, who knows. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Actually, I'll probable finish my dirt strainer with the 2x4's and welded wire fencing I bought, and also walk around and clip up all the Bouginvilla bushes around my property.

just wondering? how you got to the point where u need SUPER UDT so bad you can;t use the tractor?

Nah, I can use the tractor, it's just a little low and I'm being ****. Why take a chance is how I'm looking at it. When I took delivery the fluid was right between the two grooves on the dipstick. Now it's just under the lower groove. I guess it's pushed alot of fluid into the lines and cylinders? Who knows, I just want to top it off before I run it for several hours at a time.
