Are you color blind? Or are you a one brand owner? I thought I was untill recently. I sold my old JD 770 TLB and was searching for a green hydro TLB. Well I wish I could report that I found one.......but I did not. What I did find was a immaculate 2005 Kubota B21 with less that 250 hours delivered to my home for a little over 14K. Wow! what a machine my eleven year old son said! He is thrilled because he could not drive the 770 with a clutch. Now I compared specifications to the closest used piece of JD equipment I could find and I just could not get there in Hydro. So.........here I am color blind......at least for the foreseable future that is. I will let you know how she preforms.

Wow! Nice machine, you should be able to do some damage with that one. Congrats on finding a great buy. Welcome to the orange.

Nice tractor!
Being a happy owner, the incumbent colour would have the advantage for certain. That being said, I do checkout the alternatives when I buy anything.

NICE FIND!!! Delivered no less... your son must be just begging to take it for out for some digging and mess making!

Congrats

A B21 is a nice little machine. I've had mine about 5 years and put about 500 hours on it. It had 90 hours on it when I bought it. Other than a leaking cylinder, it's been trouble free.

As for color, I've pretty much stuck to Kubota. Several good dealers around here and I've had good experience with Kubota. I was considering a Deere for the most recent tractor but the dealer wasn't helpful at all and I ended up with a New Holland (I like the color!) but I'm not really satisfied with the tractor and I'm probably going to trade it for bigger Kubota.

I do have a yellow machine though! My skid steer (JD) is yellow!

I am country blind and will pretty much limit my purchases of new tractors to those produced by USA companies that have not been absorbed by foreign interests. That pretty much limits me to one color. So far I have not been disappointed as none of my green tractors have let me down and the last one I bought was cheaper, and outspec'd the best deal I could find on nearest match foreign jobs (JD 4120 / Kubota GL 4330 / NH T?40). Nobody makes all the parts for any of them here any more so I compromise a bit and do the best I can. I love my country and my nieghbors and will always support them first. I have also never been dissapointed by any of the many Chevy and Ford cars and trucks I have owned over the years and would need a gun pointed at me to buy a foreign auto. You might not believe it, but I have owned nearly a dozen, some as long as 10 years and have never been stranded along side the road due to a mechanical brakedown. I am not takeing anything away from you people who have bought foreign machines, and I am thankfull to be in a country where folks have the ability to do that if they like. I have friends in Canada and Mexico, and I welcome those American country's contributions to the tractors I buy. I also have little dislike for the Chinese, and I am especially appreciative of the castings they provide, enabling my tractor to have a standard quick-attach loader bucket, while the others I compared charged extra for that feature. If only a few more folks thought and spent like me we would not be in the financial mess we are in today.

I have both green, orange and blue on my property. I usually get what does the job. So far I have been pretty fortunate to size to the job, and spec out the details accordingly.
I am a global consumer and make no excuses for origins.

The B21's are a nice series. You'll get a lot of work done with it.
