Hello everyone. I am speaking with Kubota and Deere to get quotes. I believe I have identified the tractors that would best suit my needs from both manufacturers. I was curious if anyone has purchased lately and if the 10-15% off the MSRP was still applicable. Both dealers have a decent amount of stock on their lots.

If it helps any, I have narrowed my list down to the BX2601 or the L3560HSTC from Kubota, and the 1025R or 3039R cab model from Deere. I know- big difference in models but I am seeing which one offers the best bang for the buck. Plus, I am in central Florida and the enclosed cab would be nice during the summer.

Thanks.

Good luck.

This is not a good time to buy.

Good luck.

This is not a good time to buy.

Seems like its a bad time to buy anything - lumber, tractors, guns, ammo, ATV’s, houses, stocks, bonds on, on, on.

Weirdest economic downturn ever.

Other than rebates and "special finance," I haven't seen much leeway from the Deere dealer. I haven't pressured the Kubota guy yet. He does at least have buckets, which are apparently in short supply. He mentioned it and then I read it here.

All that said, I figured since I need a tractor and the car dealers are beyond full of themselves, why not see if I can work a deal in the meantime? I went to the Ford dealer I bought my last truck from, and the saleslady told me I would be better off waiting for better rebates. You know it is bad when a car dealer tells you to wait. I appreciate the fact she didn't try to get me down there to rip me off, of course.

As it was said, this is the weirdest economic downturn ever.

In our area dealer new inventory slim and the wait time for new tractor 3 weeks to month an half depending on the model and attachments, also good second hand 4WD tractor with FEL at fair price scarce.

I see the Equine 20% discount has been continued into 2021! Pretty rare to get that much off msrp anytime! My experience has been this. Tractor was ordered mid-late Dec because there wasn't a single cabbed l5460 anywhere in my state. Tractor took 2 weeks to get to the dealer. Wholegoods items took a little longer. Should hopefully take delivery next week. The equine discount is not available with promotional finance rates although some people have been able to combine it with 0% Some people mentioned dealer prep and freight not included in discount. My handful of dealer quotes had those in it whether I used my equine discount or not. Just something to think about. NCHA membership is free for the first year.

There is never a good time, and plenty of bad times. The only real good time is to order it well in advance of when you actually need it.

Now isn't too bad a time relatively speaking, figure out what you want and get it ordered, things usually heat up in the spring. I don't know how supply is now, but I haven't exactly heard of there being any where near sufficient stock to avoid back-orders so expect some waiting. Kubota still has 0% down, 0% for 60 months until 3/31, plus some discounts for additional (Land Pride) attachments.

I love my B2601, but there is a big difference between it and the L series you are interested in. Have you watch the Messicks YouTube videos? They have some very good and level-headed videos on picking the right one and finding the sweet spot. I considered an L series so be able to handle woods work, but I have too much work around the house and the B2601 leaves enough ruts, so B2601 sits right in the middle "sweet spot" for me and does what I need it to.

I have watched a bunch of Messick's videos, and they are great. I have also found myself looking at the LX2610 Cab model after watching a video from them. Looks like Kubota added some very nice features to it.

The best tractor is the one that's paid for and gets the job done, no big deal if it is occasionally on the small side & takes little longer to get it done.

Just my two cents worth...

Good luck with your purchase. Looking at your profile, I see you have ZT already. Since I don't know what your intended use is, it's hard to put forth feedback, but my $0.02 as far as I can tell is buying a BX will be the equivalent of you buying a second lawnmower. I'm not one to criticize anyone's judgement; to each is own., but it sounds to me like you have intended uses for the larger machine and the BX is likely not going to deliver. If you haven't come across this thread yet, I need not say more.
