Some may recall that Beta was (is) a superior format to VHS, but sony tried to monopolize it. Some of the competitive advantages that KAMA currently enjoys is the availability of an 8x8 shuttle shift on the TS series, 4 cylinder EPA engine in the 35HP at a very competitive price, comonallity of chassis between TS254 and TS354 series (the KAMA is a HD 25HP tractor). Of course the TS254C engine and TS354X engines are the same EPA engines Jinma is using. On the larger tractors I think the population of 45HP and 50HP KAMAs is likely larger than Jinma, they have been brought in to US longer, so it will be more commercially feasable to import and stock parts for these models than some other brands.
Remember, the EPA restrictions that will prevent future imprting of the big KAMAs applies to Jinma and all the others for that matter. in 2006 all non road diesel engines 25HP and over MUST be EPA compliant, the TPEM that legally allows the import of these tractors expires. Of course both Jinma and KAMA will be able to supply parts after this date and dealers will be able to get them shipped with their EPA legal tractors in the future. It is very true that the JInma 200 and even 300 series tractors are very popular, sold by lots of dealers, but many of these dealers do not stock parts. It costs a LOT of money to stock these parts and you can only due it if you have a market to sell them in. The KAMA market in the US is now large enought to commercially justify the inventory of parts, not only for 25 and 35HP tractors but 45 and 50/55hp tractors as well. And KAMA is not a monoploy in the US, there are several importers, all of which can and many do, get parts with their tractor shipments...
We are looking for continued success with KAMA well into the future...Hope this helps.
