Ok guys here is the deal,
Found this NICE 3930, and may sell my 3430. BUT, (there's always 1, right) the 3930 has vertical exhaust, and I have trees. Is the exhaust manifold the same on both tractors? They should be as I believe it is same engine, but you never know. If so I could just change out manifold and exhaust and good to go. I hope.
Also, the 3430 has 2 remotes, 3930 none. Don't know about this change out. is it just a simple change out of the hydraulics from 1 tractor to the other? Again are they same, or do I need a kit? Or should I just add new remotes to the 3930? What would you do?

yes they are the same u might have to cut a whole in the hood of the 3430 if it is not already there but other than that u can swop them

as far as the remotes they will change over as well you will just have to remove four bolts and the remote housing and probaly the seat to get the coupler bracket off and then take the blanking plate of the 3930 lift top

Thanks Who,
That is what I thought. Just wanted to make sure. Looks like the duel remote unit is around $1k for new. Would make sense to change this out to the 3930 then. Do you know if this is just a gasket under the control unit? Or are there rubber o rings? Will try to look on line and see what it looks like there. As far as the exhaust, the 3430 had the same vertical exhaust and I changed it over when I got it, so I have the hole plug already. (was a bear to find :()
Would need to find a grill guard for the 3930. Have any idea on this one? All I can come up with when I search is the front grill, or guards for a truck.
Thanks for the help Who. You seem pretty familiar with these. Your price from the other post was right on also. Tis what they want for the 3930. Any idea what the 3430 would go for in your area? Seems like a lot a work for just a few more hp, but it looks almost showroom, and cannot have been used much. (famous last words). We'll see Appreciate your time.

the remotes have orings under neath it as far as a front grille gaurd are u wonting a bumber if so they shood be pretty easy to find but depending on the hours of your 3430 it should be worth from 8500 to 11500 i have a 3000 hours 4630 i am asking 11500 for but i believe i have it sold for 10500 these all are great tractors and the prices or holding around the 8500 to 16000 (with loader) because they are so much simpler to work on and also cheaper to work on then the newer tn and tt seires nh's and also in my area a 3910 with bring 8500 in my area so ur 3430 should be worth atleast that

Thanks Who
Appreciate the info. Bumper! That's what I want. Didn't think to try search for that. Will give it a try. Think your right, most yards should have one, just have to go find one.
The 3430 has 2500 on him, and is in nice shape. Sheet metal all good, pant excellent except for finders. And there not real bad. For what I do with them, tractors will always need paint and have scratches. Dont want them that way, but just going to happen. Price of farming in my eyes. :) I paid 12.5 for him 3 years ago, and have never been sorry. Nicest one I have seen, Most around hear are in the 12K range. I believe I should be close to the same "asking" anyway. I haven't hurt the tractor, always in barn, all maintenance done.
Will probably do the deal, and do the parts swap, and then see who needs a good blue tractor. In my area someone always needs a tractor, especially if you offer a bade, or mower to go with.
Obviously I agree, they are great little tractors. And for my needs, the correct size. They have all the hp I need, and the price dosnt make you mortgage the farm.
They are lively and fun to drive to me. They can be work horses if needed, and as you said, they can be repaired even by someone like me. Always a great option for a tractor to have.
I will let you know what I find, and will post some pics if and when I get it home.

I hope your correct Who,
That is around where I want to be . If i didn't need barn space, I would love to keep both. But my CFO says "Yea Right"...
The 30 series remind me a lot of the 2000, 3000 series up until the late 70s I believe?
I have been looking around A LOT lately, and just keep coming back to these. I thought I wanted a Boomer, but they don't seem to be what I want. :( I Like the short turning, and the sloped hood, but just couldn't make myself buy one. Had to get to the 40-50 hp range to interest me, and when they did, i was afraid I would pull the tractor apart or something, if I did any serious pulling or any seriously stupid thing like running over a rock that lifts the tires off the ground, or anything... So I looked at the TT series, and did not like the planetary gears. ???? just not for me, ok! Looked at the Workmaster and found a lot to like there, and it may have been my best choice if I would have went with new. Seemed like a good working utility. When I would look at the workmaster, I also looked again at the TN series. I currently have a TN65 and like it very well. It is a loader tractor, so it is a whole different class to me. I really like the TN series (from what I have seen) but i wanted something slightly smaller than the TN65. Looked hard at the TN55, and TN60, and could find them plentiful in my 3 state area. But each one I looked at, I kept coming back to the fact that it was basically the same size as the 65, and that was 2 big. (makes a lot difference without the loader though). So I am happy to see this 300hr 15 year old 3930 come along. :D
Now I'm not saying anything bad about any of these tractors, I know there is good and bad in all. Personal choice is what is all about, and for me, well the 30 series is what I like. Nuff said. Think I will be all over the 3930 soon. I will post pics if I bite.
