The L4060 has been hard at work until this happened from a tree branch. Upon looking the hose that ripped off was way too long. Hung down. And both are below everything underneath. It seems like they routes them the worst possible way they could.

A quick cheap solution is a big heavy duty zip tie

Maybe when you replace them, route them above the crosspiece above the hose.

Even with a zip tie the rest of the hose is below. And the hose is the lowest point under the tractor. I’m going to take it to then tomorrow cause that’s BS how it was routed. Saves me from the head ache and the fluid I spewed everywhere. See if they’ll wash it too. Then I’ll have to weld up a skid plate for it cause I’ll be using it in the woods mainly not just to cut grass.

While Stainless Steel zip ties seem like a good idea, I would be concerned that they would want to cut the hose, over time.
If you have ever taken a lathe to a piece of stainless, you would realize that the shavings are razor sharp and they can cut you and you never realize it till you find yourself in a puddle of blood.

Good point. Maybe cushion the hose with something first.

I think I would use stainless steel zip ties because they are less likely to break.
It was given as a temporary solution until the hoses get rerouted.

What hose is that? It looks aftermarket vs factory.

Ditto.... Dont think a reputable manufacturer would place a hose just so as to make it vulnerable.

Think ZIP tie or spring to hold it up.... And reroute and guard plate would be even better.....

It is broken y’all. A zip tie even if temporary won’t do diddly squat lol. And when looking it for sure didn’t look factory. Looked like a lazy person slapped it on.
Not sure what it’s for and don’t look like facts to me either. I was fed up and had just finished our first jump. So parked and hoped on the dirt bike with the kids to enjoy the fruits of our labor.
And for sure if they can’t reroute it better then a guard plate will get welded on.
