Today I used my BH seriously for the first time (13 hours on the machine) and there's something that bothers me.
Every five minutes or so I have to lower the stabilizer feet to full extension! Even over the roar of the engine and wearing hearing protectors I can hear a popping noise that occurs about every two seconds. It seems to be coming from the feet and I'm thinking that maybe the hydraulics are causing it. Is this normal?
If not, at the 50 hour check I'll ask them to fix it.
On the good news side, I managed to bury a 600-800 pound boulder. Only a month ago this would not have been on my agenda as it would have been impossible by hand. Well, very difficult anyhow.
The tractor was suppose to cut back on my work, but I find that it causes a lot more work as I'm now doing things that I never would have considered doing before.
On the more good news side, this friday-sunday is the Jacktown Pa Steam and tractor show. I'm looking forwards to attending this annual event. For those that are interested, Jacktown is not incorporated so I'll just say that it's a mile south of the Bangor Pa area school park.
