Are any TBN members that work for Ford?

Any tbn members work for Ford? I am in desperate need of a X-plan pin.
I had someone lined up to give me a pin,but now is not able to.

Of course as luck would have it the wife and I was looking at cars friday afternoon and she found the car that she wanted.We started dealing on it told them I was able to get a Xplan pin,we got the deal that we wanted and are now the owners of a 2011 Escape limited.

The dealer gave me the Xplan pricing and wants me to call them with the pin.
No problem I thought,I e-mailed the person that was to give me the pin and I got the news that he is not able to supply one.

I am now pretty much up the creek without a pattle.

Any help I can get will be greatly appriciated.

Not saying it will work in your area but at my little local dealer I just go talk to the finance manager. He has the name and number that can fix you up. Usually $50 or so his way and a $50 gift card to Outback Steak House to the giver of the pin and thats that.

I have not bought a Ford new since 2007 so things may have changed but I have bought no less than 10 or 12 this way.

Join the EAA and get one. I did it over the phone some years back. The membership magazine was interesting too.

A dealer has to document the eligibility of the X Plan. Since I worked at a dealership, I know that. The X plan price is only available to the immediate eligible persons family. It is NOT transferrable, otherwise.

IMO a dealer would be pretty stupid to falsify an X plan sale and risk losing his franchise especially considering how hard Ford is looking at each and every dealership at the present time.

That must be why I have been told so and so is your uncle.

I agree, it was not 100% kosher, but that was how it was done for many many years around here. Me, my sister/BIL, and father have bought and leased no less than 25 Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles since the mid 90's.

The EAA deal looks like the way to go.

I now can get mine though work. We are a supplier to all the major manufactures but like I said, I have not bought a new vehicle in 5 years other than my 08 Nissan Titan.

I'm glad it worked out for you. I learned of the EAA in a similar way, when I was desperate for a PIN years ago. Pass on the favor to someone else when they are in need.
I hope you enjoy your Escape Limited. I've heard nothing but good things about them.
