Apple trees gotta go pt.4

I was laughing so hard at the new tree pulling technique I started eye-balling about 880 other potential victims/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif. The wife said I'd had enough fun, don't do any more/w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif.
I did notice not having the rear counter-weighted especially when she started lifting the rear wheels off the ground, just backed off on the lift, eased forward on the HST and then lifted again. Afterwards, I created a mountain of plucked apple trees to be cut and chipped.
Sorry for burning up 4 posts but I'm sure glad we can see the picks on TBN again/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I don't know if I could do all that with what I'm faced with. I have 6 apple trees that are twice the size as those shown in your photos and my tractor is half the size of yours. I think that means I'm in trouble. ;-p I suppose I'll just end up spending more time trying to pull them out. :->

How old were your trees? The roots seemed fairly small and compact. I expect my trees are in their 40's.

not sure on age, they were 4-6" at the base. Some roots stayed in ground, easily covered over with dirt from other location. You have more than enough equipment to work at them like I used to with a B-7100/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif.Have Fun/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
