The apologies is first as I am new and I appreciate this may have been answered for other JD's, so forgive me if this causes frustration to some.
I took possession of a JD 310 A and it worked for 2 days, drove forwards and backwards . Backhoe and hydraulics seems fine and engine runs. When put into gear the engine dies.....in fact it does not even have to be put into gear...just the slightest movement of the gear stick to the I or II position causes the engine to die. There is no seat switch that I can locate since the seat has been changed, and it drove fine for a couple of days. not done anything since it moved just used the backhoe to move some stone. A bit stuck and any pointers would be most appreciated.
