Anything to do around Santee South Carolina?

Wife and I will be in Santee South Carolina next month.

Any suggestions from people familiar with the area on what to do?

Was in Myrtle Beach a few years back in September; too late to go swimming, but the seafood was awesome!

Fishing, Fishing & then more Fishing.. Take/use a GUIDE..
If u like to golf, there a course right there.
Santee State Park is nice to visit/camp..
They used to have a GREAT BBQ place, "Lone Star" but it burnt down..
Don't know if they ever rebuilt..

I think that Myrtle Beach is basically one huge golf course!

Thanks guys.

Staying at Wyndham resorts, and since we don't fish, will probably be taking a drive or two to Charleston and or Savanah.

More of a "get away from the kids sanity time together" more than anything else, so lounging around won't be bad either as I really haven't been disappointed with the amenities provided by the business just to stay on site and relax.

(1) Marys Steakhouse Mary's Seafood and Steakhouse - Food in Savannah

(2) Despositos Desposito's Seafood Restaurant - American Restaurant in Savannah

Thanks. I've been to Savanah a couple of times for work, but my wife never has, so stopping there will be a must for her IMO.

Found out last night my wife decided to change it up anyway, so now it will Edisto Beach. Seems like a quaint little beach not too far from either Charleston or Savanah.

In Savannah, GA is the 8th Air Force museum, http://www.mightyeighth.org/, which is really good. Really liked the static displays outside that has a Mig and an F4 as well as the B47 outback along I95.

Loves restaurant is a few exits south and has good seafood.
