We have been looking at these for a month or so. My FIL has narrowed down his search which includes:
Club Car XRT 4x4 Intellitrack
Mule 3010
JD HPX TrailGator

I like the footroom and floorboard of the XRT. The mule has very good storage compartments. Our JD dealer has proven themselves to us for being dependable.

I just want to know if anyone has any positive or negative feedback on these machines.
We do like the RTV but it is heavier and cost another 2K with a few goodies.
Thanks,
Kyle

We just bought a Gator HPX 4x4 (gas) a couple of weeks ago. Due to a run of not so great weather we have only used it a couple of times. With that said so far we have been happy with it. I will agree with what some others have said in regards to the Gator...it would be nice to have power steering but for our application it wasn't that big a deal. The Kawasaki V-twin is "cold blooded" but once it is warmed up runs fine.

I have driven all three of these vehicles. My dad works at an equipment rental company so I drive these on a weekly basis. The one that holds up the best is the Xrt 1500. It has no problem starting in the cold weather we have here. The mule is all right for mostly light offroad work, it is the flimsyist. The gator is all right but the xrt has 4WHEEL DRIVE. The Xrt has no problem in any weather. In fact we like it so much were thinking of buying one our selves.
If you need more info you can visit the club car website if you havent already done so.

The Club Car is the same as the BobCat. May be easier to find a Bobcat dealer.

I test drove the club car. The dealer had one of last years model, that had some hrs on it. It was outside in the weather. not started for months. I put the key in it, and it fired right off. It never coughed[Like some] on my hi speed run but the price wasn't right for me. They use them all over the place. it says to me they must hold up. Good luck

I stopped by my dealer in Houston last week to buy a landscape rake. Saw that they were handling the XRT1500 and like the look of them. I haven't called down there yet to find out the price and was wondering how it compared with the Kubota RTV. We are still looking around a utility vehciles but haven't gone vey far doing anything about it. If your FIL goes with the Club Car I would appreciate his comments on it.

Just in case you did not know about it, you might want to view the thread I started in this category that is similar which contains some helpful replies & price comments.

[HPX vs Bobcat 2200 vs RTV--Help!]

My dealer's latest offer on a Bobcat 2200 diesel (clone in white of the XRT 1500), with no options except the belt cover and a windshield to be installed, $8600, has about 40 hours on it (was a Ducks Unlimited demo, per salesman). I figure the list including freight on it was a little over 11K, so probably not too bad a deal.

Club car is now owned by Bobcat/Ingersoll Rand.

I'd want to add a bunch of stuff, like bed lift, cab, heat, lights, etc. Tim the Toolman /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Fully decked out HPX diesel $16K, RTV $16.4K. Obviously more on these than the 2200 'Cat. See my lists under that other thread.

The transmission/diff setup really appeals to me, but I am not sure I want to pay the money to replace my JD 6x4.

Anybody with more info, we're all ears,

Jim

Yes-- Have 2006 model. It is remarkable off road with the auto 4wd--Also have the side curtains and snow plow never used. Have not used it much for a while and thinking about selling it. Has few hours. lots of photos if anyone interested.

For general info as original post is 5+ years old. I have a 2006 diesel XRT1550 4X4W/Intellitrac. Dump bucket/plowblade/pallet-forks/dump-bed/tool-box/roof/bedliner and all skid plates offered.

Anyone considering this UTV should understand it is primarily designed as a work vehicle, not a run around in the woods Mule/Rino. You can do that with it if you want but you will be paying a lot for ATV type fun. I got mine as a demo model that went to shows, and had 9 hrs on the Kubota D722 engine. With all the attachments and tax-18k.

I could not be happier with it. Its strong, and works all day with no problems. I agree w/one poster in the ATV-thread that because of no powersteering it can be a bit hard to turn, but this is a utility vehicle, not a pick-up truck. I put a spinner knob on the wheel and it works well for onehanded driving as you will be using your right hand to manipulate the joy-stick hydraulic control for the bucket/blade/forks. Maintenence is do-it-yourself. Oil and the 3-filters are easy, once you learn the tricks. It only holds 6gal of diesel, but runs quite a long time on that. Came with a class 3 box hitch and I have a 1/2-ton Polar trailer I pull with it. I'm at 6,500ft here in Colorado and plow the 3/8 mile driveway no problem, takes about 45 mins. Keep diesel fuel additive in the fuel, do the routine 100 hour maintenence, shoot the zerks and it will make your country life much easier.
