I've tinted car windows and building windows before so I am familiar with the old spray bottle and squegee/scraper. As I looked at the cab yesterday I was wondering why they don't come with some tinting. I'm not talking saftey violation tinting, just something to keep the greenhouse effect from occurring so rapidly. Just curious, I imagine the southern people on here have, I just haven't seen it on a backhoe, mini excavator, tractor, or similar before. I live in the north. I could see some texas or arizona people doing it with all their heat and sun.

I have mine tinted. Helps keep it cool . No issues at night because I run LEDS

I'd love to have mine tinted. I'm in middle Tennessee and it does get warm in the summer. I have seen lots of highway department tractors tinted. I'm not sure if its factory or aftermarket tint.

I live in the South and had wondered how the tinting might affect night vision. My tractor does not have LED lights but sure could swap them out, well maybe could. Have added tinting to vehicles I have with both backup lights can not over come it at night.

I don't have a cab, but it sure sounds like a good idea to me.

It’s common to see tinted windows in tractors in this part of oklahoma

See a few up here. HID lighting is extremely bright and might overcome tinting. I don't think LED will. I'm guessing those who tint do very little night work.

I hate tinted windows in vehicles. I don’t have a cab tractor but I wouldn’t tint it if I did.

I chose to use a see through shade that uses suction cups to attach to the window. Works well for those hot sunny days, then just pop the cups loose at the top and let the shade just hang from the bottom or side cups for those darker days or at night. It comes in a roll that you just cut out to fit the window, place the suction cups anywhere you want them. Make sure to order extra cups.

I’m thinking of doing my cab. I tint all my trucks but would probably not go the usual 20% I do on the trucks on the cab because I do a lot of night work and 360 visibility is more important than in the truck. Lots of the 3M good quality films reject a lot of heat (and UV rays) without reducing a ton of light so you can have a cooler cab and probably less plastic damage and skin cancer without reducing visibility that much.
