Anyone plant with a HST?

My L5240 plants about an acre of sweet corn with a two row planter. Like was already mentioned, it doesn’t even know the planter is there. The HST is very convenient for planting.

HST L series or HST MX?

Only small garden stuff. 2 row JD 71 planters. Two row Covington cultivators. 84” rotoriller. 7’ hardee disk. Everyonce in while 3 bottom plow. Two acres max.

Deer food plots maybe 5ac.

For seven acres an MX for sure.

I plant a few acres of corn 2 rows at a time with a 3901 not all at once but I stage it so I have about a half acre at a time to pick from mid July to early October

i had a GL 4060 and it stuggled with my 6ft tuffline disk . it did fine with my 6ft roto tiller.
i dont see the 4060 i had pulling a 3 bottom plow.
i regreted not getting the 6060 gr L just for the extra 20 hrs pwr . so just keep that in mind when thinking about a hst tractor. i would always opt for the most hp i could get , you lose a good bit compared to a gear drive tractor.
