What would be the specifications for a hydraulic motor that would run something like an 18" saw blade?
We used 7.5 hp 3ph motors on them for wood defect saws. They were overkill, Boeing used them to cut aluminum (different blade).
In any case, I was thinking about using hydraulics to power one of the extras I have but do not know much about hydraulic motors or at least how to pick the right one at a given GPM or results if the wrong choice was made?
I only have 8 gpm and I don't think that will be enough but could use a pto driven pump. Intermittent use cutting branches as far as more time off than running.
What would the people "in the know" recommend?
