Anyone know what this is for?

I just got my new 3520 with Top and Tilt and the pin with clasp at the top of this picture isn't there. Anyone know what purpose it serves?

Looks to me like it holds the cyl. Up out of the way when not in use

The bracket on the right side connects to the tractor with another pin when the T&T isn't being used. When the T&T is being used the bracket folds to the rear over the top of the cylinder. It looks like the pin I don't have may just be to keep the bracket off the top of the cylinder, maybe to keep it from rubbing the paint off?
