anyone know the history of the 2210 model?

How long has the 2210 been in production? how many are out there? Why isn't there a toy replica available for my mantle? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I took delivery of one of the early production models in February 2003. I know there were a few out there in showrooms in August or September 2002.

My understanding was that the 2210 was created to compete with the Kubota BX22, which was enjoying a huge success with suburban homeowners.....

Deere accidentally published the specs for the 2210 on their website, I think it was summer of 2002. I went to my local dealer and they didn't know anything about it! Went back to the website and the data was gone and didn't show up again until late fall of that year.

I think the first time I actually saw a 2210 was around Christmas.

I took delivery in Feb 2003 and mine was also an "early" model. Included the dreaded top link leak which was fixed under warranty.

I would love to have a scale model for my shelf, too!

I received my 2210 in Feb of '03 as well. Like others I had the entire top link and gasket replaced under warranty. I love my little 2210 ! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Mine has been a real workhorse. It has plenty of power and has held up well. I bought it last May and currently have over 220 hours on it. The wife and I purchase some land and had a log home built on it. Most of the property is gravel with some huge bolders I haved moved around with it. It also has a level that is all clay that had a low spot that never lost water. I used the bucket to dig out more of an area so the water would collect in a smaller deeper area. Most of it is 3 1/2 to four feet deep. I moved and leveled 80 yards of sand for the pole barn floor. Moved and spread over 200 yards of finish road grade gravel for the two drives I have. Bush hoged and reclaimed 2 acres of field that had been grown over with huge bushes of multi rose and small saplings. In addition I used the fel and rear blade to keep the two 400 foot drives clear of snow. Other than the top link leak it has been problem free. I love it!!!!!

Hi. Just bought my 2210 and love it!. Mine has production number that is recent. Got the FEL, 62" belly mower, Imatch, and rear scraper blade. would love to have a replica, too. when I bought my tractor, I kidded the dealership and told them that I would definitely not be willing to sign the papers and complete the deal unless they gave me a FREE toy tractor. ($23.00) It was not a replica of the 2210, but pretty close. At first, the salesman actually balked and said he wasn't sure if he could give me a toy tractor. I laughed and said, "well, then, I guess we don't have a deal".
anyway, with a grumble, they made a $13,000 sale for a $23.00 toy!!!

I have never seen a replica of the 870, 970, 1070s that ran all through ~1990 through ~2001. I have the prior model 950 toy that Will have to do.

They make a model of mine. I have a 4310 and they have one that comes with a MMM and snowblower. It has the rear loader mount but I haven't been able to find a loader for it.

When I bought my 4210, the dealer had a new toy skidder on the counter. I tried to get them to throw one in, but it was a no-go. He said they sold them for $xxx. It wasn't a deal burner, but I had kinda hoped... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
