Anyone had any experience with Koyker loaders? I am looking at them for my Kubota B7800. Does anyone have any good testimonials on 3rd party loaders? I'm cheap and don't want to pay 3,000+ for a loader. But I don't want buy junk either /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I have a Koyker 160, with 5' bucket and am very happy with it. I would suggest getting the single lever with float. Wouldn't be without the float option. Very well built/engineered and relatively easy to detach/reattach.

That's good to hear. I also wonder if my tractor would handle a Koyker model 155 loader since the Kubota B2910 does.

I found a website that recommends a Koyker model 120 loader for my B7800 but a 155 for a B2910. The model 155 loader has considerably more lift capacity and I didn't know if my tractor would handle it though it is essentially the same tractor as the B2910.

Well, I'd have to say if it lists the 120 then thats the FEL they did the engineering tests on. From what I'm told Koyker does destructive testing a unit when they design it. That means they use a "ginnea pig" tractor and torture it after they design and install their designed FEL.
I would call them direct and ask but they may not warranty a non applicable model installed. You have to look at the big picture. Koyker does a real good engineering job and their units are strong. I loaded my bucket with way more than I thought was safe for a test and I still could add more. Not again for me, 2 smaller scoops safe is better than 1 overloaded unsafe bucket. Breaking stuff or worse yet, flipping is no fun.
There are other after market FELs also, Great Bend, Woods, are a couple that come to mind. I assume you have checked on a Kubota brand FEL?

I have mounted Koyker, Great Bend and Bush Hog loaders on the Japanese tractors. Great Bend and Bush Hog are now the same company. I personally think the Great Bend/Bush Hog loaders are a better quality loader. The Koyker pins are actually bolts. The last one I got ,I had to replace all the pivot pins/bolts because they were too short and the threads were cutting in to the frame. I just got in a great Bend mid mount loader yesterday. It has more metal in the mount/subframe than any I have ever seen. It is made of 3/4"and 1" steel. They aren't as cheap as the Koyker but you do get more for the money.

I'm with kayssupply. I've seen them all & the Koyker isn't that pretty. Bolts for pins on the examples I've seen, too. A $.35 bolt is a whole lot cheaper than machining a $13.00 greasable pin; problem is, they don't last. You have to wonder what else they skimped on.

Bush Hogs were a bit better, still a bit crude in fitment. Great Bends were better yet. Hopefully BushHog bought the Great Bend engineers with the deal.

For your tractor I'd try to go with the Kubota factory loader. Yes, they can have some issues with their attachment fitment at times, but overall it is a better package.

My Koyker 160 has pins with about 12 zerk fittings. I think it's well made.

Maybe they came to their senses & changed the design? I hope so!

Anyway, please, please don't put a bigger loader on your B-series than what they recommend. They have weight ratings for a reason. The B-series is very light in the rear & can get pretty scary if not ballasted properly--and that's at their rated capacity. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Does anyone know where I can get mounts for a Koyker 155 for my Kubota L2900. I have checked with several dealers and they wont call back and Koyker wont sell to me cause I aint a Dealer. I need the mount kit and hose kit. The numbers are 662135 and 655853. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I have a koyker 160 that is about a year old. Good service so far, quality product but built, just a little on the lite side. Bucket could be a little thicker, but for it's intended use should be fine. Looked at the pins on mine and there isn't any bolts used, plenty of zerks. Mine cost $2400 with the tractor. I think I priced a smaller one, came with a 4' bucket for $1800. Was looking at a YM 2000B and ended up going bigger. They have a web site. Free tractor manuals .com has a reference chart and specs. I would side with the rest here and not put a larger loder on than called for in the chart.
