Anyone have info on a Ford 1200

Looking at a Ford 1200 4wd; wondering if anyone has any info - I know the HP and weight, etc - wondering about lift capacity, parts avail, etc.

Also found a Ford 1100 - seems the 1100 is slightly newer, with the headlights in the fenders, and the 1100 actually looks a little bigger...?

There is a little bit of information on this forum re: the 1200 and the 1100. I did a search on this forum with "Ford 1100" and "Ford 1200" and found a few post, mostly mine! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Seriously, the Ford 1100 I grew up with was a tough little tractor which I enjoyed immensely. The tractor was made by Shibauru, I believe. For either the 1100 or the 1200 you would be limited to 4' implements.

I wish my Dad wouldn't have sold it, to be honest. Although there is no comparison between it and the TC 40D he now has! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Dad didn't have any problem getting a new radiator in 2000 when he jammed a stick through it. He was trying to take care of his new property . . . 44 acres! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Not big enough!

The tractor, that is.

It was just dandy for 4 acres. Hopefully the new owner is getting the same service out of it that we did.

I think that the 1200 is a later addition to the rest of the Ford compacts of that era. The Ford literature that I have is missing the 1200. The model line is 1100, 1300, 1500, 1700 & 1900. I was forced to use other research means.
Ready? Here are the stats:
The 1200 was produced from 1980 to 1983. It uses a 49 cubic inch, 2-cylinder engine with 13.5 PTO hp. The transmission has 10-speeds forward and 2 reverse. Weight is 1,244 lbs. No info on the 3-pt. lift capacity.
