Anyone have experience with the Husqvarna UTV?

After purchasing a Polaris Ranger for use around our property, my father got the UTV bug and has his eye on one of the Husqvarna units (model 4414 I think). I attempted to lean him toward some of the more proven brands, but this is the one that caught his eye first. Unlike me ( I reseach things to death prior to purchase) he can be impulsive and I don't want him to make an expensive mistake.

Here are my concerns:

1) Small engine (14hp gas, Briggs & Stratton)
2) Relatively new on the scene as UTVs go (not much of a track record)
3) Dealer says he'll take care of all service and any problems (but that's a salesman talking)

His main use is to launch and retrieve jet skis on trailers at waters edge on his property in SC. Easier that hooking up a SUV and his electric golf cart isn't up to the task when the water level is low.

Anybody out there with some experience on the units? Thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Wish I could give you some first hand experience with one but can't help. I did look up the specs on the 4414 and Huskys website states "available in 2wheel drive or 4 wheel drive..starting at $7999.95". I am assuming the $8K buys you a 2 wheel drive unit and it does have a 14 HP B&S engine (in a 1,200+ lbs vehicle). For that kind of money I would definitely be looking for a like new, clean used Rhino or similar side-by-side that has both proven reliability and with out a doubt much more performance.

A Rhino or Mule would be a MUCH better choice, IMO...

Not sure if you have already purchased a Husqvarna utv or not. I have one the 4414gxp. Had it about 5 years. Haven't had any trouble with it. It's been through the ringer for sure and still going strong. Only down fall is disc brakes all around. I use it for farm use and the mud and rocks wears the brakes out very fast.
