Anyone have a Cub L&G tractor w/ Fabricated Deck???

Hi folks! I'm in the market for a new or used mower at this point,as I'm not going to dump major $$$$ into the Kubota GR2100 I currently own(internal tranny problems). I stopped and looked at a leftover GTX2000 w/ 48" Fabricated deck today(last years model). I purchased 2 new Cubs before(a HDS2165 in 1994 and a 3204 in 2002). I loved the tractor,but the deck was horrible-constant plugging and cleaning after each use. I was wondering if anyone has the fab deck on a tractor(not zero turn) and how they like it regarding buildup/plugging/discharge- any info is appreciated

Look for a Cub Super garden tractor with the 60 Haban deck. This is my 2182. If you want any more info about Cubs shoot me a PM.

I had a 1978 1450 with the 44 inch deck. Like you, I had to clean it out monthly and also it rusted through to the point where I could no longer braze & weld it. I spent $400 or $600 (I can't remember exactly) and got a new shell and transferred the spindles etc. My current 2004 3235 has the 54 inch deck which never clogs unless I cut tall wet grass and try to use the triple bag catcher. This is a good thing since it weighs 260 lbs and is a bear to handle when removed. I usually clean it once a year when I do the annual lubrication and maintenance. It has no signs of rust through yet due to the heavy steel shell. I've replaced the 2 outer rear rollers twice and the front wheels once in that time.

I have a Cub tractor and it does gum up under the deck. I deal with it by physically scraping the heavy junk off it, then hosing it down best I can with the deck still on.

I see a spray product that is supposed to make the deck slippery so grass doesn't stick but have not tried it.

I ended up getting the GTX2000 w/ 48" fabricated deck. Looking for Gator blades for it,but there aren't any made for it. I ordered some off ebay that were for John Deere 48"-they are close,but not sure if they'll work or not. Dealer did not level deck-had to do that. I will mow sometime in the next couple days for first time. Already miss the awd of the Kubota while I was towing the roller.....
