Anyone have a Cub 3000 series with deck downstop?

I'm considering buying all the bits and pieces and installing it on my 3205. I'm looking for opinions of usefulness. Are there any disadvantages to it that I haven't thought of? Do you use yours or just use the hydraulics? I raise my deck frequently to clear obstacles and I'm tired of fidgiting with my up-down lever to get it back in mowing position. Before I spend a couple of hundred bucks and a day or so labor I would appreciate your thoughts.

By deck downstops, do you mean the crank adjuster that sits on the floorboard?
If so, our GT3200 has that, but something is a little bent and it doesn't work right. You have to fiddle with the deck lift to get things to loosen up and let you crank it in or out.

Yes, I think we are talking about the same thing. You are supposed to lower the downstop feature to below the cutting height you want, place the deck at the desired height with the hydraulic lift, then tighten the downstop knob until you feel resistance. After that, the deck will maintain that setting without drifting down. Does yours not work right or is it bent or broken? Thanks for your reply, this is what I'm looking for. I don't need to install it if it becomes useless.

Something is bent on ours. I mentioned it to the dealer and they said that ti is a common issue and that it could be replaced, but it would bend and bind again in short order.

I haven't yet had a chance to look at it and see if it can be corrected.
