Anyone familiar with Barfoot style Snowblowers? Can you recommend them? Do you know if the 52" model can be powered by the rear pto of a BX2350 effectively? Thanks in advance.

I had a Barfort (BWM) rear blower for a couple years (sold it this past fall). It was very rugged. My only complaint was the long, primitive looking chute on it. This is strictly a cosmetic complaint........ it worked well, just looked as though a third grader designed it. Mine was 54" wide, and i used on my 18 hp Yanmar. It only bogged the motor down in the deepest, frozen snowbanks. I feel confident you will be plenty pleased using it on your BX.

The one that I see for sale is 10 yrs old and he wants $1600. I think that is a bit pricey. Any idea what they run new? I cant find a website with them.

Well..... i can only tell you i paid around 800 for mine..... it was in nice shape. Owned by a retired gentleman, cleaned and paint touched up after every winter. It was built like a tank..... and i got my money back when i sold it after two or three years. The tag on mine said something like Barforts Welding & Machine (BWM). I recall it was made in Canada, but don't recall exactly where. I saw them for sale in this area at an off-brand tractor dealer within the past couple years..... so i assume they are still in business. Never attempted to look for a website. I'll see if i have a pic of mine showing what i meant about the primative chute.........
