Anyone every buy a Repo from a dealer?

My local MF dealer has a repo that he just received in the other day. Currently the tractor is waiting for an AGCO rep to com out, take pictures and come up with an appraisal. I have taken a look at the tractor myself. It has some cosmetic scratches but seems to run fine overall. It is a little over a year old.

Any recommendations or advice from the folks here?

How many hours?.. a repo just means they didn't pay... doesn't mean it was abused. Cosmetic scratches are no big deal. A little over a year on it... hard to hurt a tractor in that amount of time. You may have a great deal in front of you!

Sorry forgot to mention the hours. 94 hours on the clock.

Bought a 555 Farmtrac with Loader and a couple of implements back in 07 (from AGCO Credit) sold the loader and the equipment's for almost what the package cost. Used the Tractor for 3 years with no issues. Each case is different but would say if it runs good and has no leaks and the price is good go for it

Should still be under warranty if you buy it, but be certain of that. At 1 year and 94 hours it didn't miss any scheduled maintenance, should be OK there.
I've bought a couple of repo cars and not gotten burned, but there were others I stayed away from.

I confirmed it still has it warranty. All of the maintenance and a few other items were taken care of by the dealer. From the viewpoint of the Dealer the customer was very high maintenance and they went out of their way to perform some basic tasks the owner would not. I'm comfortable with where it stands maintenance wise. I have a high level of trust with the dealer.

less that 100 hours I'd buy it. I'm a firm believer in used with low hours/miles. Just bought an off lease 2015 Focus hatch with a 5 speed, loaded, from a dealer with 26K miles. I believe in letting the original owner take the depreciation, i n my case I'm getting a dealer maintained 2015 for 11 grand, 21 new.

Same applies to a tractor. less than 100 hours, even if the PO ran the bags off it, chances are it's fine and you still have warranty, just like my car does.
