anyone ever buy a 2525

I'm just curious, I did a search here and unless I missed a thread somewhere I only found posts speculating how the 2525 would stand up against other models, so has anyone taken the plunge, if so was it a great, medeocor or disastrous choice. Are dealers still stocking them or steered away from the Chinese stigma

I was curious about that myself. There was a little ta-do about this model when it first came out, and then nothing. They're on Mahindra's website, but I haven't seen one in person yet. I know this tractor existed before under a different label. I think it was Lenar.

My local dealer has one on his lot. I didn't ask the price. It looks ok. It wouldn't be one I'd seriously look at though. A bit too crude for me.

They are selling them over here in Australia as Lenar even though there made by Mahindra, apparently when Mahindra took over the factory that made the Lenar version they couldn't get out of the pre existing contract with Lenar Australia and so have to keep supplying them till the contract is up. People are buying them but you never hear any feed back good or bad. Cant say Ive seen many for sale 2nd hand so those that buy them must hang on to them.

The dealer who I purchased my tractor from said he wont put them on his lot either. I thought it was an admirable position to not stock something you dont feel right about.

At first I liked the idea of having a "cheap" tractor for the customers that came in thinking they can get all that for little or next to nothing.
I did put 2 on my lot and sold both of them with in a month.
Now Mahindra decided to raise the price and now it is not even close to be an attraction for me to stock again.

Granted mine only has 35 hrs on it but it is working fine.

They have recently started a retrofitment program to fix the few annoying things about the 2525 tractor, namely heavy pedal effort on clutch and brakes, poor shuttle-shift feel, and a few other minor things. So now we have a good tractor....but the price is creeping up fairly close to the Mitsu built Mahindras. It's tough to get quality at a price that is real low.
