I bought a used 4120 a year ago (204 hrs) and immediately had a coolant leak repaired by my local dealer (JD reimbursed THANKS) but to my surprise the tractor is leaking again. Has anyone else had this problem??

A buddy of mine has a 3720 that had a coolant leak. It turned out to be the seal on the water pump. He had the problem some where around 200hrs. Deere fixed it and it has been fine sense. Which was about 150hrs ago. tschwerm where is yours leaking from? Is it the same place as before?

My tractor is at the dealer now. It was a repaired last year with the casting leaking (the sealant used when the tractor was made was too hard it cracked). They replaced the sealant but now it is leaking again.

Looks like the leak is as simple as a hose with a glossy finish the clamp with a lot of tension could not hold the coolant when the engine is hot. The dealer put a sealant on the hose and then clamped the hose. Tomorrow they will let me know if the leak is fixed.

There's another thread from about a month ago talking about coolant leaks. I posted in there also. I had my 4520 at the dealer about 3 months ago for a coolant leak. Seems like it was leaking around the seal on the water pump shaft. They changed the water pump and all is fine now. It only had 65 hours on it when it started leaking!
