I'm starting to get irritated with Woods. I ordered an HC54 rotary cutter from my local implement dealer way back on June 17th, and it's still not here. My dealer has called Woods repeatedly, but he keeps getting told, "we're out of vendor parts". :mur:

I'd gladly tell him to forget the order and go with Bush Hog, as he also sells them, but I feel my little 1510 might have trouble turning a full 60" blade in the thick grass, and 48" is narrower than my tractor, so I couldn't get close enough to fence lines and buildings, so that's out of the question. As far as I know, Woods is the only manufacturer I know of who makes a 54".

I realize I've ordered a fairly niche product, but if they offer it, they should be able to produce it in a timely fashion. I'm getting tired of waiting, and was just wondering if anybody else out there was in a similar situation. :anyone:

Actually, If I had to guess, the dealer is waiting to get it a free ride with a lot more Woods equipment. A hurry up ride for 1 implement by itself could add $200 to the cost. Ken Sweet

I don't think so. I've been there when he's called, "I've got a p*ssed-off customer here, and you know why!" and he's had the speaker-phone on so I could hear the other end. From what I've been hearing, Woods is out of wheel bearings or something like that. My dealer is not pleased with Woods either, because he said this reflects poorly on him as well.

Tailwheel bearings are a dime a dozen. I bet I have the bearing for the mower in my stock? Ken Sweet

Good news! My dealer called today and the RC is on the way. :D Woods shipped it on the 9th, so I should be able to use it this weekend. :cool2:

I have a woods tiller and have been told by a local dealer that they are really slow to ship parts.
