Anyone built a set of pin-on forks for the front of a SCUT?

I'm thinking of having our fab guys here at work build me a set of forks for the front of my CS2410 SCUT. I only need around 1000lbs of lift capacity, so they dont need to be incredibly strong, just enough to move some hay around.

I was thinking C-Channel around 30-36" long, angled at the end with some sort of backplate to weld on my brackets to attach to my loader pins.

Anyone ever done this?

I built a set that quickly attach to my bucket. Mostly used for brush and the occasional pallet. May not work for your purposes.

Large squares, around 650-700lbs a piece. I'll also be using it to move pallets and odds and ends.

Are you sure you have enough tractor and loader to safely lift a 700 lb bale that weighs about half as much as the tractor? Assuming Sl2410 loader If you can only lift 675 lbs at the pin to 71" and you breakout force at the pin on the ground is only 1300 lbs. I think you'll be lucky if you can lift if off the ground more than a foot. Id want to put as much as you can lift on the 3pt for ballast

For reference
Kubotas la243a has a
max lift of 750 lbs at the pin to 71"
500 mm forward it can only lift 518lbs

To 60" it will lift 595 lbs 500 mm foreward

Breakout force on the ground 1410 lbs and 992 lbs 500mm forward.

even a 3x3x # square bale will likely put the cg much farther forward than 500mm as half of 36" is 18" nearly 500mm (19.6"). The fork frame and rest if the loader attachment will probably end up at least 8-10 ahead of the pivot pin

You might get some ideas from this pin on frame that I built many years ago, for some bolt on Brinly forks.

Welded on angle iron to hold the bottom of the fork.

yes. I used C channel as well. You only need 3". I should have built mine with 4" but they've held up. Can mount and dismount these while still on the tractor. Bucket brackets are made of 3/8" .

On second thought, I don't think my forks will work for you. This type compromises lift capacity as a result of being so far from lift pins. Cuts lift capacity almost in half.
