Anybody else got long weekend plans like me? I'm going to cut up my 2 acre food plot field currently in winter rye with the BB rippers, in anticipation of planting clover in about a month. Figured that will give me time to get my soil sample back from the AG dept. Gives me a hot date with the tractor to look forward to this Sat.! The pic is an old cell phone shot, sorry for the low res.

Too wet in these parts for any ground work. We got over 5" of rain yesterday at the ranch. Front of property is under water. Our neighbor used to have a pond in his yard. He now has a pond for a yard.

Hopefully it will dry out by next weekend so I can fertilize, mow, and get some other chores done without fear of bogging down. We clay can be a real mother!

We got over 4+" of rain yesterday and today- unless its on a hard surface, we won't be getting anything out.

It will be awhile before we start ripping gound.

Better chance of holding a canoe race here. 36 hours straight, pouring rain. More on the way. I live on top of a hill and there's water standing everywhere. I feel for the folks in the low lands.

Just have an 1 or 2 inches of snow on the ground, but have at least 8 inches of ice in the ground. It will be a while before I do any 'tearing up' :D

Well our snow has pretty much been melted by the rain, so same here. No dice on getting the tractor out anytime soon. I think Coyote was just rubbing it in, hehe.

Yes hope to disc after using a subsoiler for the past 2 weekends. It will be nice to cut 7 feet instead of 7 inches.
Great Chimeny bet many people were warmed by it for years.

Wow, these responses make me love North Carolina more and more! Sorry about all the flooding you guys are experiencing! I try to follow the corn farmers in the area, and they start planting in April. Snow on the ground in March? Brrrrr!
