Don't see many posts about the littlest Boomers. Local dealer has a TZ24 with 60" MMM for $9900. I'm guessing that's a tad high for last year's model. He told me on the phone that he's got three of 'em he needs to move. Might be able to get a deal. Any feedback on the price?

I was almost sold on the Kubota BX2230, but thought I'd take a look at the NH before buying.

If there any TZ owners, they sure are quiet. I've been researching the TZ24/25 with a Woods BH as an option to a BX23.

I have two quotes with FEL which may give you something to compare to:

1: TZ24 turf tires
60"deck
10LA loader 13,600

TZ 25 would be $485 more.

2: TZ25 with 60"MMM, FEL, Woods BH - 19700; TZ18, 54", FEl, Woods BH - 17500

They are definately higher in price than Kubota but have some features like instruments and sensi-trac which are included in the above. Also have 0%/48 financing in some states, but unfortunately for me, not in VA.

First post, eh? Welcome to TBN gavski! Yep, the TZ guys are real quiet...

Thanks for the comparisons!

Actually, the $9,900 quote is right in line with what I'm getting from Kubota dealers on the 2230! Of course, that's last year's TZ24 against this year's BX2230.

From their web site, I thought the 0%/48 was on selected equipment. 0%/36 is supposed to be available for the TZ's. If I can get 0%/48 on the TZ24, I just might buy a tractor tomorrow! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The 0/48 is available in this area for deliveries to PA but 0/36 in MD & VA. For some reason this is regional, and the sales guy would give me the financing if I delivered to a PA address (in-laws).

I think these are real nice machines - saw a TZ with the curved arm FEL and curved arm BH and it looked great. But I'm probably going BX23 since there is a more active owner community which is real helpful, its a bit cheaper, and resale would better in this area from what I've seen.

Gee... Not one little Boomer owner out there??

That's a shame. I looked at a TZ24 last Friday. Seems like a nice machine - a bit taller than the BX2230. $9,900 delivered with either a 60" or 54" deck.

Check out this thread I started last August looking for NH TZ and Case DXE owners. Send some PM's to any of them if you have specific questions.

I've got 89 hours on my DX24E, and I've worked it pretty hard so far. I also have time on a neighbor's BX22, so I get to do side-by-sides pretty regularly.

I paid $9200 for my TZ24D last year. The 60" MMM was $1800.

I think your price of $9900 is very good.

Thanks Scott! Yeh - I'm within a couple hundred bucks of my best quote on a BX2230. The dealer claims he only has 'bout $500 mark-up on the unit. Another plus is that the dealer is closer to me than the Kubota dealer and he didn't mind spending time on a "little tractor" buyer. I do envy the Orange guys their active support network and wide availability of parts, etc.

My only remaining reluctance on the TZ24 is that it's a couple inches taller than the BX and seemed a little "tippy" while I was playing in the dealer's lot.

I am Newly Registered but have been reading this forum for a few weeks as I search for the right tractor at the right price. From what I read in this thread it loks like I may have found a fair deal

TZ22DA Tractor
10LA Loader
60 inch NH Belly Mower
54 Inch NH Tiller

$13900.

Out the door no sales tax ( Being Dlivered to vermont from New York dealer

I could upgrade to a TZ25DA for a extra $500.

o% for 36 moth But i am Going to go 2.9% for 60 months with no money down my payment is $249.55 /mo

What do you guys think ?

Thanks

Well first of all I would not think for a minute that you will get out of paying the sales tax. You may find a slip in your mail in the next two years stating you owe the tax. Some states have cross lines agreements and the dealer may have to report your purchase to your home state. So you may get out or you may not.

As far as pricing every area is different so I can't help you with your pricing but if it was me I would spend the $500.00 to go up to the larger 25 hp unit.
